Important market drivers
Liquidity and risk appetite
Bitcoin often responds to changes in global liquidity, the US dollar and broader risk appetite. These are context signals, not proof of causation.
Institutional demand
Spot-market and fund demand can affect available supply, but this page does not infer flows from price alone.
Network supply schedule
Bitcoin's fixed issuance schedule shapes long-term supply, while shorter-term prices remain volatile.
Crypto market breadth
The share of tracked coins above major moving averages helps show whether participation is broad or concentrated.

How the Bitcoin trend and levels are calculated
The daily signal compares the latest BTC-USD close with its 20-day simple moving average. The weekly signal compares the latest weekly close with a 10-week simple moving average. Support and resistance are the lowest and highest closes in the latest 30 observations. These rules describe observed price behavior and do not predict future returns.
Bitcoin FAQ
Is the Bitcoin price continuously updated?
No. It is the latest successful observation from the scheduled BTC-USD dataset, with its timestamp shown near the top.
What does the daily Bitcoin trend mean?
It compares the latest close with the 20-day simple moving average. Above and below describe that calculation only.
How are support and resistance calculated?
They are the lowest and highest Bitcoin closes in the most recent 30 observations and update with every successful dataset.
What is crypto relative strength?
It compares an altcoin's return with Bitcoin over the same lookback. Positive relative strength means the altcoin outperformed Bitcoin.
